Working with Silhouette SVG designs
- Opening them in Studio
- Current versions of Silhouette Studio open SVG files directly. On an older Basic install that cannot, without paying for the Designer Edition upgrade, use the DXF in the same download instead. It holds the same outlines at the same size, so nothing is lost by taking that route.
- Presets are a starting point
- Studio's material settings are a suggestion rather than a guarantee. Run a test cut in the corner of the sheet before committing the whole thing.
- Print and Cut wants the PNG
- For Print and Cut work, use the transparent PNG included in every download rather than the SVG.
