Working with Botanical SVG designs
- Stems are the failure point
- A leaf hanging off a hairline stem will tear on weeding or lift in the wash. Designs here keep stems thick enough to survive being handled, which is why they look slightly heavier than a drawn illustration would.
- Slow the cut down
- Fine organic curves come out cleaner at a reduced speed. If your machine offers it, drop the speed before you cut something with a lot of leaf tips.
- Weeding takes patience
- Budget real time for the negative spaces between leaves. A weeding hook and decent light matter more here than on any other style.
